Dr Sakshi Mahajan

  • Sakshi received her Bachelor’s of Physical Therapy degree from India in 2018 and a masters in Exercise physiology from Dallas Baptist University, Texas. Additionally, she has done certifications in muscle fascia release, muscle energy technique, trigger point therapy and pre, postnatal care. She has worked as a physical therapist in many marathons and in interscholastic sports tournaments including games like squash, tennis, baseball, and soccer.  After her clinical experience in India, she has been working in New York state for over a year. Working in outpatient and home care settings, Sakshi has been exposed to treating a wide variety of operative and nonoperative cases. She enjoys working with post operative cases to regain joint range of motion and strength, whether it is simply returning to walking or completing a marathon. Sakshi has treated patients who have been working from home during pandemics with neck and back pain to improve the quality of their lives. Sakshi emphasizes on patient education and ergonomic analysis to facilitate return to healthy lifestyle. Her mantra is “adding days to life and adding life to the days” of her patients. Sakshi herself has been very creative and teaches Indian classical dance for over a decade. She is also trained in yoga and loves to combine it with meditation. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling and exploring new places and cultures..
